For the serial ports (COM or RS232) to work properly, in the case of Windows 10, it is important to know that a modification is necessary:

- before installation, enter the BIOS
- in the top menu navigate to BOOT
- look for the "Boot OS Selection" entry and change to Legacy Win8
- Save, exit and continue with the installation

In the case of Windows 7, this change is not necessary.
